We Are Not Arguing Over Chicken →
When gays get so angry about a chicken sandwich, it is because Chick-fil-A has given around $5 million to fight to discriminate against us. When we praise brave Eagle Scouts who give up their badges in protest of the Boy Scouts of America’s prejudice, it’s not about scoring political points; it’s because there are kids in dens who are being taught to believe that they are less than equal. When...

Well. This Might Make the Next Christmas Party a...
Me: *Link to an article about Ann Romney's horse*
Grandma: Don't overlook the fact that President Obama is also a very wealthy man. It appears that nowadays, only the very wealthy can afford to run for office.
Me: If Mitt Romney becomes president, he will be the richest man in office EVER. As a matter of fact, he is richer than the last eight presidents combined. I'm not really an Obama fan either, but the rich always seem to take advantage of the 99%.
Grandma: As you mature, you will develop a value system: a set of values that you will hold dear and that you will try to base your life style on. My value system is my Church, and I'm not too happy that our government is trying to force religions to go against their beliefs to please the govnernment. I am all for religious freedom and I don't believe that the government has a right to involve itself with religion. Saying that, I will vote for a president who reflects my values, and his wealth will have no influence on who I vote for.
Me: I agree that the government shouldn't involve itself with Religion, but doesn't that go against the whole 'gay rights' thing? People want to pass laws, or revoke laws because of the religious views some people have on Gay people. Some people will vote for a president purely because he is against/for Gays. If the government shouldn't be based on religion, than Gay people should have the right to be married. It shouldn't be based around the bible, it should be based around the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. Both of these, say that people should have certain rights. All people. It says nothing about what sex they find attractive. America is supposed to be a place for freedom. Not a place for, 'You can have all the rights we do, unless you've sinned in the eyes of my God. If you've sinned, we'll try everything to have you purged from this Country.'
damn. . . that reminds me of our families, right Mr. Wise?

I Bleed Rainbows: :/ →
zaksaidso:
I’ve just been getting really upset about this Chick-Fil-A thing. I realize that I shouldn’t let it get to me because it’s nothing new, but when I see people I thought were close friends proclaiming their devotion to the fast food chain after this whole debacle, it really hurts, especially when…
I’m not gay, but I feel the same way. You say you support something but not...
